Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety. A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life. We are providing individual counseling appointments through in-person sessions and we are continuing to offer Telehealth therapy if your insurance plan offers Answer House Review it. Telehealth enables our clinicians to provide HIPAA compliant services to our clients over the phone, so you don’t have to come into the office.

Speaking from the experience I had as a patient for a week and a half, there are many good people on staff here. However, the doctors they contract need to do less prescribing and more listening. A 5-minute conversation will not suffice to understand somebody enough to give them mind-altering psychotropics/SSRIs, etc. A little more love goes a long way and I hope some much-needed changes are made to help the patients that come here. The Joint Commission, formerly known as JCAHO, is a nonprofit organization that accredits rehab organizations and programs.

Greenleaf’s outpatient programs are built around adult group therapy. Depending on the individual’s needs, clients in our intense outpatient and Day Treatments often get therapy for 2-4 weeks. Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person’s life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery.

Young adult program

So no matter where you are in your recovery they have the level of care you need. A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m). Some PHPs are residential (patients sleep on site) and some are not, so patients sleep at home. PHPs can last from 1-6 months, and some offer transportation and meals.

Combined with behavioral therapy, prescribed medications can enhance treatment by relieving withdrawal symptoms and focus patients on their recovery. Adolescents receive the treatment they need for mental health disorders and addiction, with the added support of educational and vocational services. Our psychiatric care unit provides intensive services for adults who are struggling with acute mental health challenges, such as hallucinations or schizophrenia. Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences.

This level of abuse was not only physically painful but also deeply humiliating and degrading. The behavior I witnessed and experienced at GreenLeaf is beyond unacceptable it’s atrocious. The staff’s actions have left me with lasting trauma, and I am determined to seek justice for the abuse I endured.No one should have to go through what I did.

I did not see any abuse by the staff as seen in other hospitals, nor did I feel like a criminal for being there, I would recommend this hospital in a minute. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder. Long-term use can result in severe physical and mental health issues.

Greenleaf employs licensed clinical staff who provide group-oriented therapy to help clients learn how to process their emotions, develop coping mechanisms, and challenge negative thought patterns. We also encourage our adult psychiatric clients to engage in individual and family counseling to best help them begin to heal. Teenagers (ages 12 to 17) and adults who pose a risk to themselves or others and need intense supervision and stabilization are eligible for Greenleaf’s inpatient treatment programs.
