An American (English) remake of the French series HPI (2021)
Scenario
It follows Morgan, a single mother of three, and how her extraordinary mind helps her solve a crime while working as a police cleaner. Despite her extremely high IQ, excellent memory, and extensive knowledge of mysteries, Morgan makes a series of fundamental legal mistakes that no one who has ever watched a legal TV show could possibly make. For example, in the first episode, she retrieves a document from a locked safe in the office of the suspected victim’s lawyer that would never be used in court – illegally obtained evidence. It also cannot be used to obtain other evidence – a violation of the legal doctrine of « fruit of the poisonous tree ».
This series revolves around Morgan (Kaitlin Olson), a woman who works as a night janitor for the LAPD
Part 2 reminds you to wear gloves before handling evidence at a crime scene, and Part 3 removes all documentary evidence from the police, breaking the chain of custody and making anyone who was removed inadmissible in court. HPI Remake (2021) . When she comes across a case file, it piqued her interest and she makes a few corrections to the homicide chart. This leads the class to realize that you have the ability to perceive, assimilate, and organize facts, also known as evidence.
Think Will Hunting meets Adrian Monk
She has been hired as a consultant. Like Will, she has an exceptional IQ and an insightful mind. Like Monk, she suffers from OCD, although not as neurotically as Monk. But you feel like all the conflicting information has to be reconciled (like an itch that needs to be scratched).
He’s also very determined
And while Morgan sometimes feels like an outsider to society, he’s very empathetic. I really like this series, although there have been many other police procedurals where an unusually talented civilian works with the cops. Morgan’s character is fun to follow. And the cases have interesting solutions.
The kids are interesting too
He also has three kids, so he always has to balance work and home life. In the first episode, his young son really helps his case behind the scenes.
