Honestly, the entire time I was watching this series, I felt like it should be on SyFy. I’ve heard that to really understand this show, you have to read the book, so maybe that’s why the plot didn’t feel rich or engaging to me (because I was distracted by everything around me, which is what happens when I lose focus).
Unfortunately, I think this show falls into the category of recent shows like Rings of Power (which I think is even better)
While the production value is clearly high, it just doesn’t seem like it would fit on MAX, especially in the face of their other big hits.
