In the midst of an international crisis, career diplomat Kate Wyler lands herself in an unlikely high-profile job with geographic implications for her marriage and her political future.. Producers American & The British government allowed them to use real-life settings as filming locations for the series, including the most recent American embassy (at Nine Elms), which opened in 2018.

One location that was not available was Winfield House, the actual residence of the American ambassador. Although it is accurately described as occupying the largest residential plot of land in London (11 acres) other than Buckingham Palace, producers used a country house outside the city for filming..

Featured at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards (2024 ) Hard to believe Apparently , this series is also 'fresh'. In the middle of the first episode, something else important happens, and somehow the producers of this drama managed to convince the people making the trailers not to include it.
The writing is brilliant; Plot and dialogue flow together seamlessly
I’m only halfway through the second episode, but I can already tell you that this is unlike other shows or books in the spy/supplier genre. It’s quite refreshing because it’s not dominated by the kind of paranoia that plagues Australians and others.
